The principle of good faith is redefining how contracts are drafted, interpreted, and performed. Do you know the full story?

The landmark 2014 Supreme Court of Canada ruling in Bhasin v. Hrynew has dramatically impacted the obligations of all parties to commercial contracts in Canada. Subsequent court rulings since then have contributed to the reshaping of Canadian contract law, centered on the doctrine of good faith. This significant and far-reaching series of court rulings and developing jurisprudence is having a major impact on how lawyers advise clients on contractual matters, while also guiding the drafting of contracts and, ultimately, the litigation and resolution of contract disputes.

An esteemed faculty of lawyers and jurists from the front lines of the Good Faith doctrine will provide a comprehensive overview of the post-Bhasin landscape, and convey valuable information about how and where the emerging rules and interpretation affects contract law.
