This optional, two month internship course provides students in the International Business Law LLM program with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a legal workplace. The main objectives of this course are to enable students to apply their classroom learning in a work environment and obtain exposure to a North American legal workplace. Osgoode Professional Development solicits employers for the program. Internships settings include firms and legal departments of corporations and government. Students may also arrange their own internships (subject to approval by Osgoode Professional Development). Following receipt of student applications, employers elect whether or not to interview or hire student applicants. No student is guaranteed an internship position. Osgoode Professional Development provides students with assistance in resumé and interview preparation. Internships are unpaid.
