Stephanie Robinson is Associate General Counsel & Managing Director at BMO Financial Group. She and her team support the Global Corporate Banking business of BMO Capital Markets.
Previously, Stephanie was an equity partner in McMillan LLP’s Financial Services Group. Stephanie’s practice focused on corporate finance and structured finance transactions, including domestic and cross-border debt financing, syndicated lending, asset-based lending, infrastructure finance and securitization. Stephanie also provided regulatory advice to domestic and foreign financial institutions carrying on business in Canada, including with respect to obligations that arise under anti–money laundering legislation.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Stephanie is recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada 2015 as a leading lawyer in Banking and Finance Law and has a Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating of BV Distinguished. She graduated from Queen’s University and from the JD/MBA program at Osgoode Hall and Schulich School of Business, where she completed a specialization in Financial Services and graduated on the Dean’s List. She is an instructor in the Osgoode Hall Professional LL.M program (Financial Law specialization) and she is currently the Director-Governance on the board of directors of Girl Guides of Canada.
