David Mangan

David is Associate Professor of Law at Maynooth University (Ireland)and an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School (Canada). His work spans practice as a lawyer in Canada, consulting engagements as well as lecturing at law schools in Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, including the London School of Economics from which he earned his doctorate. His research centres on obligations (contract, tort) in the employment and information technology settings. David’s work has been published in a variety of law journals in Canada, Europe, the UK, and the US. This research has received external funding and been award-winning. Representative work includes: The Legal Challenges of Social Mediacontributing to the Law Commission of Ontario’s project Defamation in the Age of the Internetas well as articles, such as “Perplexing Platforms for Tort” (2019) 93 Supreme Court Law Review (2d) 177, and “Beyond Procedure: Information Technology, Privacy and the Workplace” (2019) 44 European Law Review 559. David regularly contributes to Regulating for Globalization hosted by Wolters Kluwer.”
