In the increasingly complex world of property and equalization, mistakes can be critical – and costly. Over one intensive day, acquire the key information and contacts you need to navigate these issues with confidence.

This annual OsgoodePD program — designed and delivered by the leading family law experts – focusses on the more complex and challenging current and emerging issues in property and equalization. This is not a quick summary of the year in review. Rather, it is an in-depth analysis of the critical issues confronting the family law bar.

Let OsgoodePD’s experts provide you with the benefit of their insights and experience and answer your most pressing questions.

As we develop the 2018 agenda, please note some of the topics we have included in past programs:

  • Understanding the Valuation and Treatment of Restricted Stock Units in Property Equalization
  • Creative Ways to Fund an Equalization Payment and Grounds for Making an Equalization Payment Overtime
  • Matrimonial Home or Homes? NFP Determination in Various Property Situations
  • Effective Closing Submissions on a Property Issue (Live Demonstration)
  • Corporate Issues in Family Law
  • Lessons from the Court

  • William Abbott, MacDonald & Partners LLP
  • George Karahotzitis, Thomson, Rogers

Fees include attendance, program materials, continental breakfast, lunch and break refreshments. Group discounts are available. Please inquire about financial assistance.

“The speakers were first rate. Went beyond the papers to focus on practical issues and pitfalls for counsel…Struck the right note for senior counsel and those less familiar with family law concepts. Complex issues well explained and clarified.”
