Jane graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and was called to the Bar in 1995. She began her legal career in commercial litigation at WeirFoulds, and in 1998 decided to leave the practice of law to pursue a career in communications as the Assistant Dean Alumni and Development at the U of T Faculty of Law, with responsibility for a multi-million dollar fundraising campaign and a busy alumni office. In 2001 she was appointed Assistant Dean, External Relations, overseeing all communications, public relations, and marketing for the Faculty, and serving as Editor-in-Chief of the law school’s alumni magazine. Commencing in 2008, she served a one year term as the inaugural Executive Director of the Faculty’s Centre for the Legal Profession, and in 2009, she became Assistant Dean Professional Legal Education.
In her current role, she oversees the Faculty’s executive legal education initiatives including the Internationally Trained Lawyers Program and the Global Professional LLM, as well as the Centre for the Legal Profession. Jane has won two national magazine awards, an international communications award, and a University innovation award.
She is currently completing her Professional LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution at Osgoode Hall Law School and is the Mediation Coach for the U of T Faculty of Law’s student mediation advocacy team. Jane served for several years as the National Mediator for the Editors Association of Canada and she sits on several Boards, including Community Legal Education Ontario, Young Women in Law, and the Centre for the Legal Profession. |

Jayson Brian Schwarz, was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1978. Since that time he has practiced in the areas of real estate law, corporate/commercial transactions, business structure, tax, succession and corporate planning fields. He has been involved in international commercial transactions involving various American, Caribbean and European jurisdictions. Mr. Schwarz has written numerous articles in the Real Estate field and has been since 1997, resident legal writer for New Home Guide, Resale Home and Condo Guide, New Condo Guide, Commercial Investor, Cottage Resale Guide and Lifestyle Communities magazines.
Mr. Schwarz has written for the Brampton Guardian, Real Estate News and the Toronto Sun. In addition he speaks on a regular basis at first time homebuyers seminars and was the special lecturer on legal matters for Tarion at their New Home Buyers Seminars. His real estate vignettes have been featured on 95.3 the New Country radio station and he has appeared and spoken on Real Estate TV. Mr. Schwarz has just successfully completed his Masters in Business Law at Osgoode Hall Law School.
Mr Schwarz is the senior partner at Schwarz Law LLP, a full service business, real estate and litigation firm with associate offices in Montreal, Quebec, Kansas City, Missouri, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos and Accra, Ghana. |

Mark Adams has an LLB (Osgoode), LLM (Osgoode - Securities Law), MBA (Rotman), a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and is an LLM (Osgoode - Business Law) candidate.
Mark's expertise is in banking, structured finance, fixed income, derivatives and credit risk analysis. Over the course of his career, Mark has worked on a wide variety of Canadian and U.S. infrastructure projects, auto loan and lease financings, commercial mortgage financings, credit card securitizations and on a wide array of other fixed income and structured finance asset classes from both a legal and financial perspective.
Mark is currently president of his own firm, Edenbrook Hill Capital Ltd., which is engaged in proprietary trading activities amongst other activities. |
