Originally held on October 27, 2011 the online replay is scheduled for February 6, 2012 and comes complete with a link to downloadable materials.

Not only is the education system today more challenging than ever before, a greater number of students have special needs that require supports beyond those ordinarily received in the school setting.  In order to ensure the learning rights safety of all students and staff is not compromised, it is essential that those working in special education, have a complete and current understanding of the law and how to apply it.

This Osgoode Professional Development program was developed to provide you with the opportunity to get practical, up-to-date understanding of the most pertinent legal challenges in special education today and give you strategies to deal with them.  Your failure to understand these responsibilities can have serious and potentially costly ramifications for not only yourself, but also the school board, students, and staff.

The issues you face are often perplexing.  Don’t miss the opportunity to hear how others working in this area are approaching the challenges raised in special education.  You’ll also take away information that can be readily implemented in your workplace whether it be a school, board, or other educational institution.
